Info about Sixtoo
Main alias used by Canadian music artist Robert Squire, born January 1978.
He came out of the mid-1990s underground hip-hop movement, sharing stages with the likes of [a=Buck 65] (of [a=sebutones]), [a=Sage Francis] and members of the Anticon crew.
In the summer of 2009, a break-in @ the working compound of Weaponshouse saw a hard-drive and backup hard-drive stolen. Unreleased Sixtoo recordings, session stems, sample kits and loops as well as entire body of archive material spanning 15 years was stolen from a locked residence. This break-in officially closed the project in 2009.
Rob Squire moved to Vancouver in 2000, running an art Gallery (Catalog Gallery), changing his musical style towards Synth Pop (new project [a=Prison Garde]).
Before that he was running a recording and production studio ([l=Mount Zoomer]) with a mastering section ([l=Monoheat Mastering]).
