Rolling
TODO: Rip all in-game versions of music? There is "Select playlist" option in Sound options which shows 6 playlists: Default, Rock, HipHop, Eclectic, Custom and Random. First 4 are always the same. Rock, HipHop and Eclectic are defined by file "BGMTRACKS.TXT" in roll_p.wad. Custom playlist can be arranged by player but only 15 songs in a playlist can be specified (repeating song is allowed). Random playlist is just random. Songs ordered by how they appear in this menu. In Movie Theatre, each video shows name[s] of songs used in it so songs in that section are ordered by order of the videos. Songs are displayed during the gameplay but cannot be skipped. Music on game's image is stored in separate folder, with 3 distinct folders. In PS2 - each folder contains files in MIB format - to play them in foobar2000, a TXTH file is needed with PSX codec. Videos (stored in PMOVIES folder) use PSS format so PSS_demux tool can be used to make m2v and then mp4 files. Menu music is stored in roll_p.wad file and is a VBK format. Each menu theme VBK file consists of 7-8 samples with VAGp header and associated TXT file, defining what samples are played and one, making them a continuously playing theme. PSound is capable of extracting these samples, and Python script from modeco80 can be used to unpack all the content from this WAD file. Xbox uses WMA format for music. Licensed music titles checked. Links updated with music.youtube.com. Song titles updated to in-game display. Song filenames added. Credits available on YT. Trailers checked. CD album possibly existed but related website was not archived. Soundtrack available to download at http://vgm.hcs64.com.
