Ridge Racer
On PSX game uses Audio-CD in BIN/CUE format so it's no problem with ripping - a standard audio player that handles playing mounted Audio-CD is enough, like foobar2000. Game allows to choose song in main menu with either random play or specific one of six available songs. Game only shows song titles, not the authors of music - in both menu and during the race. There is also a music player in options menu which basically plays music while CPU plays the game. There is no way to change song during the game. The song keeps on repeat so there's no progression from song to song. Songs ordered by their order in music player for race music, and no order for front-end music. In Java, there is just a single race theme, single menu theme and single post-race theme, all MIDI versions of original soundtrack. Zeebo technically uses MP3 files but they sound like MIDI versions of original soundtrack. Official soundtrack album was released on various streaming platforms. In-game versions available online. Licensed music titles checked. Links updated with music.youtube.com. Credits video available online. Trailers checked. Soundtrack available to download at http://vgm.hcs64.com
