Need for Speed V-Rally 2 / V-Rally Championship Edition 2
DONE. PC version has 3 songs in CD-Audio. Sound options menu allows to select one of these 3 to play during race and that's the order of the songs. They do not have any titles. Songs automatically progress one after another during the game. Front-end music is hardcoded to specific types of menus and they are just 3-5 second loops. These loops are in dmenusnd.grp and dmegasnd.grp - software that is capable of finding WAV files in other file is able to extract it, like Hyperripper in Dragon Unpacker. Demo version on PC checked - only main menu 2-seconds loop is used as one of WAV files in dmenusnd.grp container. No in-game credits in PC version. In PSX version, there are 6 songs in CD-Audio. It is possible to set them to play in random, linear order or on repeat via sound options. They have titles but not displayed during the race. Front-end music is hardcoded just like on PC so need to use jPSXdec to get the GRP file and then PSound201 to extract the audio from it. No in-game credits in PSX. Dreamcast is basically the same as PSX PAL version. Rhapsody likely refers to some music company but no more info was found. Similarly it's hard to say what F.M. really means. File names per song added. Licensed music titles checked. Links updated with music.youtube.com. In-game versions uploaded. PC and PSX demo versions checked.
