American rock band from Flint, Genesee County, Michigan (also known as [b]Grand Funk[/b]), formed in 1969. They were very popular in the 1970s and constantly toured sold-out venues around the world. [a1650791] of Rolling Stone magazine writes: “You can't talk about 1970s rock without talking about GRAND FUNK RAILROAD!”
The band's name is a play on the Grand Trunk and Western Railroad, a railway line that ran through their hometown of Flint, Michigan.
