London-based musician and producer most renowned for his contribution to the UK Garage scene.
Started (as [a=Matt Coleman (2)]) as an in-house engineer at Jungle/Drum'n'Bass label [l=SOUR] and its Hip Hop and Breaks affiliates.
Introduced to UK Garage in 1997 by [a=Ramsey & Fen], who he worked with as [a=Rafmat], and DJs from the London Underground pirate radio station, who worked with MJ Cole to produce tracks on [l=V.I.P. (Very Important Plastic)].
Established [l=Prolific Recordings] in 1998 and [l=892 Recordings] in 2016.
Signed by [a=Gilles Peterson] to [l=Talkin' Loud] in 2000, on which he released his first and second albums.
Returned to his classical music roots in 2020 with his third album on [a=Decca].
