The Groovenics have won many opening tour slots in South Florida including Suicidal Tendenciess, Motely Crue (Kickstart Your Career Contest), The Misfits, Less than Jake, Sprung Monkey, Alice Cooper, and more.
The Groovenics were selected as openers for Miami rawk station WZTA's concert event "Zeta Fest", featuring Orgy, Everclear, Def Leppard, the Verve Pipe and more.
The Groovenics triumphed at both of Florida's premier music award events; Jam Magazine's Jammy Awards and the South Florida Slammy Awards. At the '99 Slammies The Groovenics won Band of the Year & Best Vocalist. Past Slammy Awards included Band Of The Year, Best Vocalist, Best Bassist, and Best Local Release in 1998 & Best Bassist and Local Release again in 1997.
They also won Best Bassist & Best Local Release in 1997.
The Groovenics received specialty spins on WZTA Miami, WPBZ West Palm Beach, WKPX Fort Lauderdale, and WXXL in Orlando.
The Groovenics have been featured on the critically acclaimed "got ink?" Southeast Bands compilation and on Motley Crue's U.S. bands compilation "Musician's Choice" distributed by BMG.
