Info about OC Tolbert


An American soul artist from Alabama (born on 11-July-1944 in Selma, Alabama, died 1997 - cause: heart attack). His nickname "O.C." was given to him by his father, an Alabama preacher, who though he acted like his brother, i.e., Arthur's uncle. He began his career in 1966 and subsequently moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1967 to find fame without much success. Thereafter, he met the producer [a=Jack Taylor] and released his first album [r=1662310] in 1970.
